Facilities

We are extremely fortunate to have our school situated in such beautiful surroundings; this area of the town has been designated a Conservation area. Indeed anyone travelling along Abbey Street and Abbey Place can marvel at the wonderful mix of medieval, Georgian and Victorian architecture on show.

Although the school dates from only 1967, the actual grounds have a significant history as the school is built on the site of Faversham Abbey which is the former burial site of King Stephen and Queen Matilda.

The School grounds and premises are owned exclusively by the Trustees of the Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School. The Trustees are responsible for the management and maintenance of the site.
